Kudos!

This year we had to say goodbye to two women who have served on the Executive Board of GNF Alumnae at various times since its founding. They did a remarkable job and it is doubtful that anyone can fill their shoes the way they did

Dawn Jones (Alpha Lambda) was officially Vice President of Membership this year. UNofficially, she was also Philanthropy Chair, at times the Heart-to-Heart chair, assisted with Founders' Day, and helped with the Secretary's duties. Did I mention that she has two small children at home and a job while she was doing all of this?
Dawn was always the first to say "how can I help" when someone asked. She lived out the idea of "supporting your sisters". She took care of the chapter when we needed her, whether she benefitted or not.
Unfortunately for GNF, Dawn is moving to Louisiana this summer. (So all of you Louisiana sisters out there - be nice to Dawn!!)

Mary Van Brink (Kappa Pi) was Secretary almost since the chapter was founded. She also helped with memership and the newsletter. Don't forget the Aglaia - every time you saw a blurb on GNF in "Alumnae Pride" with a photo, Mary was the one who got it there.
Mary's family is building a new house so her attention has to be focused on getting that job done right. But once it's done - GNF has a new place to party, right Mary?

What amazes me the most is that these two women by themselves did the work of SIX TO EIGHT PEOPLE!!! Each of the chairs by themselves may be manageable but when one person does them all, it's a lot. I think GNF has been lucky to have these two serve when they could. We couldn't have survived without them!
